The cult of tomorrow is committed to using non-toxic, natural and organic materials. We only work with GOTS certified organic cotton. This means that our organic cotton is grown without toxic chemicals and genetically modified seeds. Also it uses 88% less water than conventionally grown cotton and emits 45% less greenhouse gases. 

All our cotton is sourced from farms where freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining is respected, where there is no child labour, and in which working conditions are safe and hygienic. 

Organic cotton is softer, hypoallergenic and last for a long time. But the most important benefit is protecting the ecosystem, reducing wastage of water, and ensuring a safer working environment for the farmers and manufacturers. 

PRODUCTION

We believe sustainability consists of many layers. When creating and selling a garment many players are involved along the way. Our entire supply chain is set up to treat workers fairly and minimize the impact we have on the environment.

We have developed strong relationships with the people who produce our clothes to ensure that they enjoy the best working environment possible. All our garments are made by our manufacturing partner in Portugal. They share our beliefs and allow us to closely monitor their production process.

Traditionally, the dyeing and finishing of textiles has required a lot of nasty chemicals. We’ve opted to color our fabrics with dyes that don’t contain harmful chemicals or heavy metals. Equally important is the fact that our manufacturing partner works with closed loop water systems, ensuring that all that is returned to nature is only whatever deserves to be there. 

PACKAGING

We try to minimize the impact on the production and waste of our packaging.

First of all our packaging is 100% plastic-free. We avoid widely-used poly-bags or any kind of plastic at all. 

All the paper and cardboard (even the packing tape) we use for our collection is made from reusable and recycled paper, FSC certified. We don’t send any extra branded materials along with your order to help eliminate single-use waste. 

We use paper mailers for small orders, this not only reduces the amount of input material, but also increases transport efficiency by taking-up less space and having a lighter haulage.
